Javier Abrego is a pianist and composer whose work lies at the intersection of neoclassicism and ambient electronic music. His work is characterized by an introspective exploration that uses the piano as a central axis to build soundscapes of great depth. Following a period of experimentation in genres such as electronic and jazz, Abrego consolidated his artistic identity in 2016 by turning toward introspective improvisation. His sound integrates classical instruments with electronic textures, employing resources such as synthesizers, reverb effects, and audio processing techniques to achieve a large-scale production that dialogues between academic tradition and sonic modernity. A fundamental milestone in his career took place in 2021, when the artist located an unpublished manuscript by Erik Satie at the Bibliothèque nationale de France. This discovery enabled the creation and publication of the first recording of the piece, an event of significance within the field of contemporary composition. Currently, Abrego is in the process of producing his third studio album, a project that embraces an aesthetic closer to classical language and integrates both previously released singles and new original compositions.
